The artist was born in Soviet Georgia in 1949, and since the age of six, has been engraving copper which is a technique native to Georgia. Kuzay has expanded the folk art technique with the addition of colorful vegetable dyes.
More recently, he has been exploring abstraction with oils on canvas.
